Nova Métis wants you to share your Métis Heritage Story. 

If you are a Nova Métis member, or have an interesting story of Métis heritage to tell, please let us know.  It may be of a family member or a story handed down or your own experiences. (Please, no works of fiction as heritage).  You can include pictures or other graphical material (note licencing below) and we will review, add it to our heritage collection, and post it to the website.

Please submit your story as a document in PDF (Portabe Document Format) to the email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with a statement that you give Nova Métis Heritage Association the right to copy and reproduce in any format necessary to share the story. 

A recommendation is, you may also release it as a Creative Commons Licenced work - with a suggestion to be licensed as "Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-ND 4.0)" or choose what best suites you.  Or you may even release it as Public Domain by stating on the title page or similar, the work, by title [add title of work], and with all related rights, is released into the public domain as of [enter date].

*PDF - Most modern word processors can produce PDF documents as an output: 'Save As' or 'Export As'.  For some, you may even have a 'Print As PDF' option.

If you need a word processor, and free, please try LibreOffice (download, then install), and it can export to PDF directly.
