We invite all our Nova Métis members, family, and friends, of any age, to a casual evening to share and enjoy our Métis Heritage and Culture, by getting together with food, stories, games, and whatever you may wish to share.

Starting Tuesday, October 24, from 4pm to 9pm (Come and drop-in anytime)

at Surrey Nature Centre Hall 14225 Green Timbers Way, Surrey, BC V3T 0J2

Our hope is to have one every last^† Tuesday of each month, from 4-9pm, with upcoming dates:
November 28, December 19, …

4-9pm includes some setup and tear-down, helpers welcome
Food and beverages will be available

Nova Metis Heratige Association invites our members to a Community Meeting, Gathering, and Town-hall with BC Metis Federation.

Food and drink will be provided, with a meal at 5pm.

When: Sunday, March 5, 2023 starting 2pm to 6pm

The meeting will take place at the Surrey Sports and Leisure Complex, Areana Building - 2nd Floor Multi-Purpose Room,

Any members, associate members, and their families may attend. Only Nova Métis Heritage Association members in good standing may participate in any vote or in-camera meeting or nomination to the Board (membership is by proof of card or certificate).

Nova Métis Heritage Association's Board has resolved to fore-go our delayed 2020 Annual General Meeting, and in its stead, will submit a report to our members, available on our website, and sent to those on our e-mailinglist.

The annual report will be released shortly.

This is also a preliminary Notice, that our 2021 AGM is being planned to occur in late November or early December.

Nova Metis Heritage Association is deferring our 2020 AGM until sometime next year.

The Nova Métis Heritage Association Board of Directors has moved, and hereby gives Notice, to defer the 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) until sometime before November 1st, 2021, as empowered by the Registrar of Companies for BC Societies (1).

The response to CoViD-19 in 2020 has effected us in many ways, and this year has seen many challenges for Nova Métis. We considered the effort to host a digital / virtual / Online AGM, and found our time, effort, and resources would be insufficient at this time.

Nova Metis Heritage Association will be giving out multipurpose hand sanitizer and gloves to our community members.

We will be on-site at Surrey Sport & Leisure Complex parking lot (south side)

AUTUMN UPDATE:

         Next Date: on Tuesday, October 27,  between 2:30 and 5:30pm   (Session #8)

Look for our Nova Metis sign or blue Metis flag.

Please bring your own container or bottle(s) -- 500ml or 1L recommended -- and we will fill it for you with multipurpose hand sanitizer.

Special arrangements may be made depending on your situation, so please let us know. Special funding is also available, for those in need.
